It’s SOOOO HOT!!!!!

I can NOT stand summer! It is just too darn hot. It has been in the 90’s during the day here and that is entirely too warm. I am beyond ready for fall to come around.

Little Man went back to school last Monday and he moved up to the two year old class. He is doing very well and didn’t cry when I left all week. That definitely shows that he is liking his class, in his old class he cried every day when I left. He learns more and more every day and constantly asks what things are and what things say or do.

Squeaky is crawling like crazy and pulling himself up to stand. He seems to be very advanced considering the average for crawling is 8 months and pulling self to stand at 10 months, he is 7 months old. He giggles and chatters all the time and is starting to mimic sounds when he hears them.

We have started playing Pokemon Go much like the rest of the world, which prompted us watching the series on Netflix. Now Little Man walks around pointing out Pikachu and other Pokemon everywhere we go. I’ve considered getting the graphic novels and reading them to Little Man and Squeaky.

I’ve been watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix before the revival comes back and it is a FANTASTIC show. There is something for everyone. Luke and Lorelai are by far one of my favorite TV couples.

I can’t think of anything else that is going on around here, so I’ll be off now. How are things for all of you? Let me know.

Exercise Is Futile!

Little Man finally went back to early head start today after being home for two weeks straight. Don’t get me wrong, I love the little guy but he is turning into quite the chatterbox. With him being gone during the day, that leaves me time to do nothing all day. I used to just watch talk shows all day, take naps, eat, then go pick him up. But I recently discovered the benefits of prenatal yoga. I’ve heard all along that yoga is good for you and blah blah blah, but until this point in my pregnancy I was SUPER tired. This morning after I got home from dropping Little Man off at school, I turned on some soothing music and tried out the video that is at the bottom of this post. Now I am not one to willingly exercise, but this video didn’t feel like exercising at all! I will definitely be putting this video series into my everyday routine. It made me wake up more than usual and I didn’t nap AT ALL today! It was great!

I’m almost 17 weeks along now, meaning I’m almost halfway through this pregnancy. This one seems to be going slower than my first did, but I found out about this one about 5 weeks earlier than the first. According to everything I’ve read, I should start to feel the baby move at any time. I think I’ve felt little movements but I’m not 100% sure. In early August, we’ll hopefully find out if we’re having another boy or a little girl…if this baby isn’t modest anyway.

Now for random sentences thrown into a paragraph. I just ate the most flavorless blueberries that I’ve ever eaten in my life! Maybe I’m just bad at picking out blueberries, who knows! OMG! Have you ever seen the show Clipped on TBS? It has Ashley Tisdale, Lauren Lapkus, and George Wendt (to name a few) in it, and it’s about a bunch of people in/near Boston (they have MASSIVE Bostonian accents) who were friends growing up that now work in a barber shop. Okay, so my explanation sounds bad but seriously check it out!

I think that’s about all I have to throw at you for now. I’ll be back later to tell you more. Let me know if you watch Clipped! Email or comments are great! See you later!

^There’s the yoga video I tried if anyone would like to give it a try or recommend it to anyone!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail…

WOW! I haven’t written in almost a month! That is OUTRAGEOUS! Life is super busy with a one year old. Let’s get on with the updates!

At the beginning of this month, we took Little Man to see the Easter Bunny. He was NOT happy at all. The photographer got a progression of his emotions.

Crying...

Crying…

Recovering...

Recovering…

Grumpy...

Grumpy…

We ended up getting the grumpy face picture printed off. He looks so sad in all of them, we figured that one was the least pathetic. Easter weekend wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be, which was great.

Little Man now laughs at the most random things, fake laughs, stands by himself for long periods of time, and is working on drinking out of a regular sippy cup. He hasn’t grasped the fact that it has to be tipped up. Oh! Something super exciting should be starting any day now. He’ll be starting early head start! I’m super excited for him to learn and be around kids his age. He’s only ever around me and he doesn’t know what to do around kids. Early head start has a weird schedule though. They get one week off for Christmas, one week off for Spring Break, and a four day weekend for Thanksgiving like other schools but they only get two weeks off in the summer! I find that crazy, but kinda cool.

I’ve been watching a lot of Netflix lately, mostly movies and Grey’s Anatomy. Yes, I’m aware of what happened. Y’all just need to get over it. I have a list a mile long of the shows I want to watch on Netflix. The list is:

  1. Grey’s Anatomy (currently on season 6)
  2. Private Practice
  3. Fringe (currently on season 4)
  4. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
  5. Gilmore Girls
  6. Lost
  7. Friends
  8. Gossip Girl

That’s all I have so far. I’ve heard Orange Is The New Black is good but I’m not sure yet. I’m hoping none of these shows get taken off of Netflix before I get to the or get to finish them. That would be TERRIBLE!

How was your Easter weekend? Do you have any suggestions of shows or movies that I should watch on Netflix? Let me know! 🙂

Realize

There are a TON of new sitcoms that have come out in the last few weeks and while I haven’t watched many of them, I’ve got opinions on the ones I’ve seen. Just so you know readers, you should NEVER get attached to a show on NBC unless it’s been on for a while (Saturday Night Live, Grimm, Parks and Recreation, or Parenthood). My brother and I have found that a large majority (I’m bad with statistics or I’d give an exact one) of sitcoms on NBC get cancelled a LOT faster than on other channels. It’s true. Look it up.

I’ve only watched like 3 new shows and only 2 of them will be on my weekly watch list. I’ll probably be adding more as they come out, but I’m mainly a fan of returning sitcoms (Big Bang Theory and New Girl). There will be more show reviews as more premiere.

Starting with the show I will NOT be watching again, Happyland. To simplify why I won’t tune in again without giving away any spoilers, it was WAY TOO PREDICTABLE! If I can figure out what is going to happen the whole season in the first 10 minutes, it’s garbage.

I totally luck out with the next show because they’re on back to back on the same channel! Selfie was a HILARIOUS show, and very realistic. Everyone is so attached to taking pictures of everything they’re doing every second of the day that they’re unable to communicate without their cell phone! Cell phones is an entirely different rant that I don’t have the space for right now. Back to Selfie, I’ve loved John Cho since Big Fat Liar (“Kastank! Birds!”) and in this show he is hilariously stiff. Plus at the end of the episode when he’s in his house not wearing shoes, I got SUPER excited! Think about it, how many movies/TV shoes do you watch where people aren’t wearing shoes in their own house?! Maybe that’s a strange thing to notice but it’s true! I’ve liked Karen Gillan since she was the eleventh doctor’s companion (the only doctor I’ve watched at this point) in Doctor Who, but to hear her with an American accent is GREAT!

Right after it, Manhattan Love Story comes on and it’s equally great! It takes a new spin on sitcoms by giving a voice over of what the characters, Peter and Dana, are thinking at that moment. Analeigh Tipton was my ultimate favorite in cycle 11 of America’s Next Top Model and she’s just as fantastic as an actress. Her character, Dana, had me dying laughing the whole episode. Can we just talk about Jake McDorman for a second?! His filmography is filled with greatness! Bring It On: All or Nothing, Greek, Are You There, Chelsea? (the one NBC show I made the mistake of getting attached to), and now Manhattan Love Story. The guy has been in awesome things (I won’t mention The Craigslist Killer…yikes), so I had big expectations and they were definitely met.

What are you all watching this season? Have any more or different opinions on these shows? Let me know! I’ll be back tomorrow with the post of the day! See you later!
